Back in the 1800s, Summerside was known for shipbuilding and for having the world’s finest silver fox furs. As a centre of trade in the region, we were also home to the largest department store in Atlantic Canada. Today, we’re the second-largest city on the island, an award-winning leader in green energy innovation, and proud to share our coastal culture and heritage with you.
